Moonlight

Oh how this feminine figure reminds me of the young maidens in a painting by Watteau sitting on a bench surrounding a large ancient tree, serenaded or at least flirted with by a young courtier or two with a guitar. We are deep in a moonlit garden bordered by high darkening trees and noble stone statues hidden and disappearing into the shadows. What a wonderful drawing so full of a pleasurable loveliness of line, all so graceful and full of light and air.
